Ashby Fire Department applied for and was awarded the Senior Safe Grant for $1800. This grant will help purchase battery smoke and CO detectors, Files of Life, and house numbers for seniors in town. Reach out for assistance with any Senior Safe needs or keep an eye out for the COA notification for our fire safety lunch.

As cooler temperatures, higher relative humidity, and precipitation move in across Massachusetts, the extreme risk of outdoor fires spreading and growing quickly has declined significantly. The Town of Ashby Selectboard would like to form a Transfer Station Corrective Action Committee consisting of 3 residents, to guide the Town on ways to run the transfer station more efficiently and review its deficits.
