I would prefer to see the town restore and use it for the uses as above, but if that can’t happen then maybe it could be sold and then hopefully restored for some use.

The grange also served briefly as home for St Paul Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons. A group brought it to Ashby to preserve its charter which was signed by Paul Revere. This stopped the return of the Charter to Boston where it would have been retired.

Important to preserve any all historical buildings in Ashby

build a walking track around the outer edge of the ball park. Black top it. Can’t take care of west cemetery. It needs a new fence. Stop building you can’t take care of what you have

It is important to begin to restore the historical grave markers and grave stones at our cemetery’s.

Center of town is pretty crowded now that i think about it, good idea in theory but i think it will end up like he sport courts. Unused and un-maintained.no need to spend frivilous money on maps, or packets of information on a simple walking path. This town needs to STOP spending money on stupid things! WASTE WASTE WASTE. Just stop it!

We’re excited to see what happens with the grange. Hopefully it will bring more community life to Ashby!thanks for putting out a survey!

Finally!!!! Totally support this

Would be nice to see historical markers/signs put up around town and on relevant Buildings and homes where viable. Might the town coordinate a bulk purchase option for individuals to purchase markers that match with a vendor?

I have alot of memories of that building, church, girl scouts, and dinners and the grange fair.

I believe the Town Common & Center are important to preserve and are a reflection of our community and taking care of it is our responsibility….making it a place to walk/gather/make accessible and a draw for community use seems to provide a vibrancy Ashby would welcome….. in addition I believe the tennis courts/basketball court (possible pickleball court) are owed a much needed facelift to add to the Town Center stewardship action plan. Thank you!

Thank you for working on this essential project. Baseline or benchmark timeline next.

This survey is not well written and/or crafted to give you the answer you want.

Walking path for exercise or a track is needed

The grange building has been an integral part of the town’s history since 1820. It has seen many uses all important to the functioning of town government, education, and service/social life. It deserves the care and protection of the citizens of Ashby–not kicked to the side because it needs upkeep. This is a great example of how we residents of Ashby can come together to preserve a part of our history, make it once again a useful space for town activities, and show pride in living here to those who may be looking to move here.

Great ideas, esp. saving the Grange Bldg.

Focus on Ashby’s historic center/common area at first. Identify acceptable/legal parking with white lines where possible.

I would like to see the building repaired and used, if grant funds can be found to do so.

Preserving history / historical buildings is important. Please keep Ashby charm.

We need a senior center and a youth center
