- Trash is $7.00 per 33 gallon bag.
- Recycles are 7.00. Items accepted (Guía de reciclaje).
- Other Items Collected: Automotive Batteries, Bicycles, Books, Button Batteries, Clothing, Computers & Home Electronics, Exercise Equipment, Fire Extinguishers, Furniture, Grill/Lawn Mower, Household Goods (dishware – lamps – decor), Large Appliances (aka White Goods), Mattresses & Box Springs, Mercury-Containing Products (thermostats – thermometers – CFL Light Bulbs), Pallets, Plastic Bags & Wrap, Propane Tanks (1 lb), Propane Tanks (20 lb), Rechargeable Batteries, Scrap Metal, Shredded Paper, Small Appliances, Sports Equipment, String Lights, Tires, Toys, TVs, Windows – Doors – Lighting fixtures – Cabinets, Yard Waste (leaves – grass clippings). - Textiles can be dropped off at the transfer station or at any of the other sites:
- Planet Aid Box at Low Low Convenience Store, 704 Fitchburg State Rd., Ashby, MA.
- The box behind Ashby Town Hall, 895 Main St., Ashby, MA.
- Plastic bags are accepted.
- Christmas lights are accepted.
- We accept Pizza Boxes! Grease is okay. Remove food and paper liner.
- Swap Shop is open year-round during Transfer Station hours. Leave an item or take one. Clean, lightly used items only (example: housewares, kitchen items, small working appliances, toys, sports equipment, tools).
- Compost: An average household can compost between 500 and 1,000 pounds of organic material each year producing a rich soil supplement out of material that would otherwise be disposed of.
