Massachusetts State Police has a history of providing shift coverage to local police departments in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including when they similarly provided shift coverage for the Ashby Police Department in 2009.
We would like to assure residents that there will be no change in how 911 or business calls are processed as they will continue to be routed to our regional dispatch service, the Patriot Regional Emergency Communications Center. Officers will continue to respond to calls for service, however, those who respond may be Troopers from State Police. As always, residents in need of emergency service should call 911.
