Job Posting: Assistant Town Clerk – Town Clerk’s Office

The Town of Ashby is seeking qualified applicants for Assistant Town Clerk position in the Town Clerk’s Office. The position provides administrative support duties to the Town Clerk. Some of the duties include maintaining official municipal records, issuing various permits, certifications, licenses and confidential information. The Assistant Town Clerk helps prepare for elections and does data entry work including the Voter Registration System and maintaining reports.

In the absence of the Town Clerk the Assistant has all the responsibilities of the Clerk.

Applicant must have good customer service skills and be able to deal effectively with coworkers and the public in a tactful manner. Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Access, Excel, and Word is preferred.

The days and hours are flexible: 8 to 12 hours a week, Monday through Thursday mornings.

Starting wage: $14.62/hour.
