5 Mile Road Race - 5K Walk, Sept. 23rd at 9:00 am at Ashby Town Common by 250th Celebration Committee

We will celebrate the 250th anniversary of Ashby with a road race and walk.  Gather your friends and neighbors and come out to run, walk, or simply enjoy the day on the historic Ashby Common. The first event of the day is a 5K walk taking place at 9AM.  The road race is an old-fashioned New England 5-miler with a 10AM start time.  Entry fee is a mere $10 for either event.  A mystery entry gift will be given out to the first 100 entrants, so register early. Event day check in/registration and post event festivities will be held on the Ashby Common.  Come join in the fun and celebrate Ashby!

Pumpkin Festival September 30, 2017, 10am-4pm.

Spend the day enjoying family fun activities and shopping at The Common! There will be live entertainment throughout the day, food and craft vendors, games and activities for children, a pumpkin decorating contest, a tractor parade, and more! Friends of the Ashby Public Library are a non-profit group of volunteers working together with local businesses and crafters to make this annual festival possible and who also support and fund the Library’s educational needs. All off the proceeds from the festival support the educational programs at the Ashby Free Public Library. If you are interested in volunteering for this year’s Pumpkin Festival there are many ways you can help contribute to its success. Please contact friendsofashbylibrary@gmail.com for more info on being a vendor, volunteer opportunities, etc.
